Okay, I guess. I like it, it's just I'm a METALMAN, in a F L E S H world. But it really does make a point with the cattle, and with the empty houses. Do we men just(chase after women like cattle, and find nothing in an empty house("feel like you tripped and fell")? Some men do.
Its a very complicated song, with many MANY messages

Determinator, my thoughts on what this song is about is a guy who was kind of a player and has a whole bunch of friends that he used to hang out with but now they have gone on and gotten married and stuff, and now this guy feels like he needs to get married since all his friends have, but this song shines kind of a negative light on relationships, it pretty much says, you wont really like it at first but just deal with it ("Then youll get along" and "Youve had to much to think, now you need a wife") and the part where he says "No matter what you do, youll always feel as though youve tripped and fell" means that whenever you mess up in a relationship youll always get bitched out by your wife/girlfriend XD and its also saying just find a girl and settle down no matter what ("settle for a girl, and buckle down") plus "steady as she goes" is a nautical term, meaning "just keep the boat/submarine going straight, dont turn" but in this case it means settling down and living what in this song is the boring life of being married. Yet i see what you mean about the video about chasing cattle.
P.S. did you know that a Racontuer (pronounced Rah*con*tour) is a fancy word for a story teller? so they try to make all their songs have a really powerful message and story to them.
